Wet Wet Wet….
June was the wettest since records began. Seeing double the average rain falling during the month, which brought many challenges when trying to work to tight delivery schedules. Luckily at Bottrills Transport, not only do we have undercover loading / offloading facilities, but also a great team who have managed to stay on top of and ahead of delivery times.
Things just keep getting …busy!
We have also been busy welcoming new business, and saying welcome back to a few old customers who have decided to partner with us again. Thank you.
Challenging Times
That is not to say it has been a challenge free time. We have had to re-think our business model to be flexible enough to deal with traditional haulage goods and cope with the high demand for consumer doorstep deliveries. By forward thinking and future proofing we can manage the e-commerce growth. And, with the support of our partner Pall-Ex UK, are in the enviable position of guaranteeing premium and eco deliveries.
This month we have invested in a new Urban trailer and taken on a new driver who will be starting with us this week. Our small team is growing. Luckily with our shareholder partnership with the UKs leading pallet network, Pall-Ex UK, our reputation as a reliable and cost-effective logistics partner is making us stand out from the crowd.
July will hopefully see the final easing of the lockdown restrictions, a new Euro Champion, the opening of the Tokyo Olympics and many other events that we cannot predict the outcome of.
